Tilman Fertitta enters the battle for the commanders

Jeff Bezos is out, even though he was never there. Another potential bidder for the Commanders is now in.

According to the Washington PostHouston Rockets owner Tilman Fertitta “is involved in the bidding” for the DC football team.

Fertitta’s bid came in at an estimated $5.5 billion, according to the report, and he is not considered a front-runner.

He is apparently the other unnamed bidder who visited the team’s facility along with Josh Harris.

The news that Fertitta would be a bidder came in the immediate wake of reports from both the New York Post and TheAthletic.com that Bezos, the founder of Amazon and owner of the Washington Post, should not bid for the Commanders.

The Washington Post has not reported (if in fact) that Bezos is prohibited from bidding for the Commanders. Indeed, the Saturday night item of the Washington Post names Bezos as a potential buyer without even mentioning the twice-reported bombshell that Commanders owner Daniel Snyder refuses to accept an offer from Bezos.

While every article of the Washington Post Addressing Bezos includes a disclaimer that he owns the publication, but it is nonetheless striking that the newspaper he owns will not utter a word of the fact that several major publications have reported that he is not allowed to make a bid – or that the newspaper he owns apparently doesn’t do its own reporting on Boss Bezos being snubbed by the adult Boss Baby who owns the Commanders.
